Prairie Golden Alexander is a branching perennial with a short lifespan, featuring reddish stems and heart-shaped basal leaves alongside ternately divided leaves on the stems. It produces small yellow flowers grouped in clusters that form broad, flat-topped flower heads. These plants grow between 1 and 3 feet tall and can be found growing alone or in clusters.
