5' Tree Shelters (Grow Tube System)

Tree shelter "Grow Tube" System Includes:

• 58-in. tall Grow Tube * Starting in 2026, these now have "Stem Guides" at the top, instead of bird exclusion mesh tops. 
• 72 to 74 inch "Trunk Builder" fiber-reinforced fiberglass stake (optional)
• Soft Wire Ties (3 per grow tube) 
• Bird Exclusion Mesh Tops (1 per grow tube) * Only included with remaining inventory of tubes from 2025 (with flat top)
• Stake Driver - only included for bulk orders, but can be reserved from the Washtenaw Tool Bank Collective tool lending program. Additional limited supplies of Stake Drivers can be purchased separately. 

Used to protect seedlings from mice, rabbits, and deer. Reduces weed competition and makes chemical weed control faster and safer. Research shows increased growth and survival rates even under poor conditions. They act like mini greenhouses, allowing sun and air to pass through.

Recommended for hardwood seedlings, not conifers or multi-stem trees/shrubs. Shelters have an outside diameter is 3.9 inches. They come with reusable lock-ties & can be supported with any type of stakes.
