With increased participation in the sales, and a limited supply from the tree stock and nursery industry, we do our best to have enough inventory but will sell out. We strongly recommend ordering early!  Sold out products, and products not available in the current sales, will be shown as "Sold out / Unavailable".  We do our best to get your pre-sales to you as ordered, but sometimes substitutions or refunds are necessary due to changes from the nursery suppliers. We're giving away Milkweed to support the Monarchs! The Washtenaw County Conservation District has had the unique opportunity to offer the 2023 Milkweed Giveaway thanks to a significant donation from two individuals with a long history in conservation and concern for diminishing native ecosystems and species, in particular the Migratory Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus), an icon charismatic indicator species that recently received the globally ENDANGERED status. With the donated funds, we are offering free native milkweed (Asclepias spp.) plants, which the Monarch depends on as a larval host plant, through the annual WCCD native plant sales.  The free milkweed plants can be claimed at three levels: Three...

Prior to the sale opening on January 3rd, 2023, we've had some changes to the Spring Tree & Shrub sale as it was posted in our Annual Report and our paper order form.  Due to unforeseen changes in nursery supplier availability, we are no longer able to offer the Black Maple this spring. To replace the Black Maple, we are offering American Chestnut.
